The Challenge

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically transformed the way businesses operate, with many organizations adopting remote and hybrid work arrangements to ensure business continuity. However, this shift has also led to increased cybersecurity risks, making it crucial for companies to prioritize IT security measures. Recognizing the importance of a strong and secure IT infrastructure, Kosé Singapore engaged Adventus to help improve its cybersecurity posture.

The Solutions

  • Replace the hotel’s older HP LaserJet 4000 series printers with newer models of the same brand
  • Replace existing Ricoh copiers (from previous vendor) with the latest multi—function Canon imageRUNNER Advance series of copiers. What was recommended: three different models of Canon copiers with varying speeds, capabilities and performance to suit needs of different users.
  • Take over the IS department’s management of printers and copiers, including equipment repairs, servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Perform quarterly technical maintenance checks on all printers and copiers
  • Attend to staff requests for servicing and replacement of toners for both printers and copiers; thus, freeing the hotel’s IS team from routine maintenance work
  • Install and configure the shared network printers and copiers according to the IS department’s specifications

Results

  • Without the need to maintain physical servers, Kosé enjoyed the benefits of improved scalability, cost savings, reliability, and accessibility. Additionally, Microsoft Azure provides a high level of security, with multiple layers of protection for data, networks, and applications.

This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks.   • Patch management solution automates the process of identifying and deploying updates. Whenever there are new patches, they are automatically pushed to all devices remotely wherever they are in the world. This reduces the risk of errors or oversights that can occur with manual updates.
